Abiner Oliveira was introduced this March as the new Director of Business at WTorre. With a degree in Administration and a postgraduate degree in Real Estate Business Management, the executive is one of those professionals who can be said to have been shaped by the real estate market.
He started in the real estate market in 2008, working for international consultancies such as Cushman & Wakefield, NAI Brazil (Engebanc Real Estate), and Colliers. According to the executive himself, over the course of his career, he has transacted 3.5 million square meters, with a business value exceeding R$2 billion.
At the helm of WTorre's new business area, Abiner is preparing for a new challenge: for the first time, he will be working on the front lines of development. What are his expectations? "As high as possible," he says in an exclusive interview with REsource. "We will strengthen our creativity, looking at less obvious opportunities, including in deep and niche markets, when it comes to corporate assets. For logistics, we will not be restricting ourselves only to São Paulo; there are demands in other states, and we are already starting to map them out," he reports.
Furthermore, according to the executive, his experience in the real estate market across the country in the role of a broker provides him with an additional level of confidence in this endeavor. "The theses will be well-founded, and that will give us comfort to proceed with the investments."
Asked about his plans for leadership in WTorre's real estate area, the executive reveals that he has bold challenges, "as large as WTorre's prominence in the market," he summarizes. According to him, land acquisitions for logistics and commercial/corporate development, retrofits, and even more sophisticated operations such as sale & leaseback and built-to-suit are planned. "We will be hungry and very active."
Wrapping up the interview, Abiner summarized that after 16 years in brokerage, he sees that his decision to pursue a new path within the real estate market was well thought out. "I have always been curious about being on the buying/developing side, and the opportunity arose at WTorre, a very recognized, traditional, and pioneering company in the real estate market." "I am very excited about the project," he concludes.
