The entire market followed the repercussion of the mass layoff announcement by Meta (owner of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp), which recently announced a cut of 11 thousand jobs, equivalent to 13% of the company's staff.

In Brazil, the tech company also announced the change in its operation, leaving the office in the Infinity Tower building to B32 (Birmann 32). Meta's leasing of office spaces in the building was already known to the corporate market. However, the company decided to move 100% of the team to the new address, at Faria Lima.

Located in the Itaim Bibi, the Infinity Tower is an A+ building, the company Meta has been part of the asset's tenants since 2012. According to SiiLA monitoring, Meta pre-leasing office floors on B32 in the third quarter of 2020.

Located in the Faria Lima region, on the avenue itself, the B32 is a class A+ building. With the change, Meta will have 100% of its operation only on B32, occupying 11 floors of the asset. In addition to Meta, Shoppe is also among the tenants.

Learn more about Birmann 32 in this video, where SiiLA's CEO, Giancarlo Nicastro, interviews Didi Pei, the architect responsible for the tower's work.
