The shopping centre company Aliansce Sonae has increasingly understood how vital sustainability is for the market. With that in mind, the company defined a set of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) goals to be achieved by 2030.

Within this set of goals for the coming years, looking at the environment, one of the predictions and goals is to have 100% energy from renewable sources. The company has 32% black leaders, and the goal is to increase it to 44%, while female leaders should increase from 44% to 50%. Paula Fonseca, legal director and coordinator of the company's ESG Commission, says that the company has been publishing its sustainability reports and policies since 2013.

Today, Aliansce Sonae has within its portfolio 39 malls throughout Brazil. This number is equivalent to about 1.4 million sq metres under management.
