Aliansce Sonae, a shopping centre company, recorded a profit attributed to controllers of R$ 60.6 million in the third quarter of this year, an increase of 150.5% compared to the same period in 2020.

Revenue improved 39.9% in the quarterly comparison to R$ 239.4 million. Total sales grew 38.4%, reaching R$ 3.48 billion, while same-store sales grew 30%.

Aliansce Sonae points out that the occupancy rate was 95.8% in the last quarter, confirming "the high demand for new areas in the malls". The occupancy level was at the same level as in the fourth quarter of 2020.

The rent indicator in the same areas increased 54.3%, while rent in the same stores grew 54.1% compared to the third quarter of 2020. The default level concerning the company's net revenue was 1%, compared to 11. 6% in the same period last year.

The company's adjusted Ebitda totalled R$ 162.1 million between July and September, up 49.4%.Financial expenses totalled R$ 54.3 million, an increase of 65.8%. According to the company, the result reflects the rise in inflation and the CDI.On the other hand, financial income jumped 113.2%, to R$ 17.5 million, driven by the higher interest rate.
