The logistics arm of e-commerce giant Alibaba, Cainiao, unveiled plans to open nine distribution centers in the country within the next three years. The Distribution Centers should be built in seven states.

In addition, Cainiao also announced the opening of a headquarters in Latin America in São Paulo.

In addition to the Distribution Center, Alibaba should install 1,000 smart cabinets in 10 Brazilian cities. The lockers must be used to deliver and pick up purchases from the retailer's e-commerce platform, AliExpress.
