The AliExpress e-commerce platform, owned by Alibaba Group, expanded Brazil's connection with Chinese sellers to three weekly charter flights. Exclusive flights, made possible by logistics company Cainiao, of the same group, now allow orders placed to be delivered within 30 days.

As a marketplace, it often sells the products sold in the service by different stores, which may choose to send orders individually to their customers. The Alibaba Group's platform, however, developed an order consolidation technology called "AliExpress Direct". This feature makes it possible to recognize all orders placed in different AliExpress stores and combine them into a single shipment, which reduces the final cost of delivery. The cost savings by AliExpress Direct's logistical intelligence allows this service, available to 10 million items on the platform, to ensure free delivery to the end consumer in orders starting at US$15. Before, the minimum amount for free shipping on the platform was of $30.
