Americanas and B2W have merged to create a new company

Lojas Americanas announced on Wednesday (28) the merger with the digital retail company B2W. As a result, the two companies will create a new company, called Americana S.A. The proposal is yet to be voted on by the Boards of Directors of both companies on May 10.

In a relevant fact, Americanas stated that the operation will take place in two different stages. At first, all of Americanas' assets will be incorporated by B2W. With the spin-off, 100% of both companies' activities will be under B2W management, which will now be called Americans S.A. The new company will also be listed on B3's Novo Mercado.
