"Our concern is to do something that doesn't just become a piece of paper but serves as a starting point for public entities and investors to have more security to use these real estate assets as an engine for the development and revitalization of the city center with other projects that are already underway," according to Fabio Abrahão, director of Concessions and Privatizations at BNDES.
The completion of the project is scheduled for the first semester of next year with an investment worth R$ 2.094 million.
The complete list of properties in the project has not yet been released, but BNDES mentioned the new Central Bank building in Porto Maravilha; the Itamaraty Palace, and the Barão de Mauá Station in Leopoldina; in addition to empty lots and the surroundings of Central do Brasil and Lapa.
