Chinese retailer Shein is booming in Brazil even without TV advertising

With a presence in the country for four years with an app in Portuguese, the Chinese retailer is expected to reach R$ 2 billion in sales in Brazil this year and plans to operate locally. The fashion-tech app Shein was the most downloaded last year in the fashion sector, with 23.8 million downloads in Brazil. To give you an idea, there were three times more downloads than its closest competitor, Lojas Renner, according to data from the Google Play Store in Brazil.
With its popularity, the Chinese retailer should hit R$ 2 billion in sales this year in Brazil, according to estimates by BTG Pactual. And to consolidate itself even more in the country, it is setting up its structure.
