With the end of the first half of 2022 and after another period of activities monitored by SiiLA, we are going to show some of the highlights of the period based on data from the Market Analytics platform.

Logistics Market

Responsible for 1/3 of the total square meters leased – that is, gross absorption –for the logistics sector in the first six months of the year is the e-commerce segment.

Among the players in this market, in terms of gross absorption, Amazon ranks first, followed by B2W and Shopee. Adding the areas these companies have acquired, we have almost 440 thousand sq metres leased.

Office Market

The office market hasn’t been left behind and registered many companies moving in and out throughout the semester. The main one was leasing more than 9 thousand sq metres by Kavak (a start-up for purchasing and selling new and used vehicles) in the Parque da Cidade complex. The building is an A+ class located in the largest CBD (Central Business District) region of São Paulo, Chucri Zaidan. This lease took place in the first quarter of the year.

In fact, some of the important changes in the period were a change of headquarters. As was the case with Riachuelo, which left the building it occupied in the north of São Paulo outside the traditional corporate axes.

The fashion retailer changed the address of its administrative headquarters to Pinheiros One, a class A+ building located in the Marginal Pinheiros region. Riachuelo lesead four building floors out of 18 and more than 25,000 sq metres of private area.

In the second quarter, the giant Google also moved. The technology and internet company leased more than 6 thousand sq metres in the São Paulo Corporate Towers, a class A+ building based on the strict criteria of SiiLA and located in the JK region.
