Brazil made its debut in the competition on November 24 against Serbia (one of the countries that formed the former Yugoslavia) at 4 pm. All three of Brazil's games in the World Cup group stage were scheduled in the afternoon, two at 4 pm and one at 12 pm.
These first hours are right in the middle of the day, which has led many employees to doubt how the offices where they work would work on game days.
Many companies began to plan well before the competition. This adaptation includes everything from releasing employees who want to watch the game elsewhere to uniting the entire company to support the Brazilian team together.
According to a survey by Catho, a job vacancy website, 64% of companies arranged for their employees to watch the national team games together in the office.
One of the cases is Grupo Cimed, which made its office in the Pátio Victor Malzoni building an arena so employees could watch the games. Even Canarinho (mascot of the Brazilian national team) visited the office.
