With the arrival of year-end sales, driven by Black Friday, e-commerce companies, transportation, logistics, and retailers are preparing for increased demand brought about by the holiday season. One of the leading e-commerce logistics operators, Jadlog, has revealed that it is expanding its infrastructure to meet the needs of this period.
The carrier estimates that Black Friday in 2023 will generate between 15% and 20% more parcel volume than the same period last year.
"We are fully committed to maintaining the pace of deliveries and parcel collections during this period of significant volume growth. Therefore, we have expanded our infrastructure to continue providing a positive experience to our customers, both shippers and consumers," said Bruno Tortorello, CEO of Jadlog.
For order processing, the company will have a dedicated Cargo Terminal (TECA) for operations in the city of São Paulo. Additionally, they have announced an additional thousand employees, a 24x7 operation in both headquarters and branches, and automated equipment in their logistics centers.
The company also pledged to increase the vehicle fleet supplying the carrier's hubs by 50%. For the last mile, Jadlog announced an addition of 70% more vehicles for deliveries, including 72 new electric vehicles, comprising 50 motorcycles and 22 tuk-tuks.
Currently, according to data from the SiiLA Market Analytics platform, the company has nearly 26,000 square meters leased in industrial properties. The largest area leased by Jadlog is Parque Torino, where they occupy over 14,000 square meters of the complex, located in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte.
Through its network of franchises, with over 500 units across the country, Jadlog serves all Brazilian municipalities. The company utilizes all of the country's commercial and cargo aviation. Their land fleet consists of more than 2,300 trucks and trailers and 4,700 utility vehicles.
