On Tuesday morning (27), the SiiLA team followed the "The impacts of resilient design on office architecture" event held by CoreNet Brazil Global. The architecture and construction company Athié Wohnrath opened its office auditorium at Berrini, São Paulo, to address the topic and welcome CoreNet members.

Renato Fusaro, Vice President of CoreNet Global Brazil, opened the event, which was attended by Camila Nagay, Green Buildings Specialist at Athié Wohnrath. The company's CEO, Ivo Wohnrath was also present.

Camila presented a step-by-step guide for resilient architecture projects for office design, starting with mapping natural events that may eventually affect the enterprise, such as flooding, and landslides, among others. According to the executive, infrastructure comes with priority as well as the diversification of systems, to guarantee access to electricity, and drinking water, among other items that are essential for operations. "The architect must be the protagonist of this process", she said.

Other fundamental pillars are the adaptability and flexibility of the projects, thinking about workspaces that adapt to climatic variations and layouts, and furniture that allow new configurations.

Fusaro reinforced that the office will never die and companies are finding new ways to adapt in this post-pandemic period: "The office continues to be a space to perpetuate the organization's culture. Hybrid work is here to stay and I believe we are in a test phase, many companies are experimenting with new layouts."
