Company took part of the land for R$ 75,400,014.00, without premium. According to BNDES, the area has the capacity to house high-end residential projects
Part of the traditional headquarters of Furnas, in Botafogo, in the South Zone of Rio, was sold this Wednesday afternoon in an auction held by B3.Without competition, Cyrela won the lot for BRL 75,400,014.00. The amount was just R$14 above the R$75.4 million minimum bid.
The set of buildings in Botafogo was, for 50 years, the headquarters of Furnas, a subsidiary of Eletrobras which is responsible for more than 10% of the energy generated in Brazil. Since December 2020, the space, which occupies an entire block in one of the most valued neighborhoods in Rio, has been vacant.
