In recent months, much has been reported about the logistics sector being increasingly present within the favelas, especially in São Paulo. Companies like Amazon and B2W are increasing their plans for this type of movement.

Today, the population of the city of São Paulo reaches 12.33 million people; within that number, we have 2 million people from São Paulo who live in slums throughout the capital.

Recently, Amazon started its activities inside the favelas. In partnership with Favela Llog, the company began delivering within Paraisópolis, the second largest favela in São Paulo, second only to Heliópolis. To have an idea, it is estimated that Paraisópolis, today, has more than 100 thousand residents.

Favela Llog is a logistics company belonging to the Favela Holding group. It has a conglomerate of 23 companies that operate only in communities, focusing on developing these areas and their residents. With its new partnership with Amazon, Favela Llog got its first distribution centre in Paraisópolis. The centre is managed by its community residents, including some delivery people who had previously left the penitentiary system.

The final objective of all this action is to make the economy generated by the favela return primarily to the benefit of the community, in addition to bringing the residents of this region into the consumer market.
