SiiLA was at Noah's headquarters, which occupies a coworking space in the International Plaza, in the JK region, in São Paulo, for an interview with Nico Theodorakis, CEO of construtech, about sustainable developments for the real estate market.
Noah brings to the sector the concept of buildings that use engineered wood, known abroad as cross laminated timber, as the main raw material. In the interview, the executive explains all aspects of sustainability involved in projects that use pine wood, which comes from reforestation for real estate projects around the world.
“It is a product that brings flexibility for industrialization, is structurally very efficient, is strong, light and brings several added benefits”, explains Nico. According to the CEO of Noah, engineered wood replaces part of the use of steel and concrete, which represent about 11% of CO² emissions in the world.
"We adopted the term 'fly to susteinability', which is nothing more than seeing companies increasingly migrating to more sustainable processes, concepts and spaces", said Nico. According to Noah's CEO, the company has been observing people increasingly prepared to receive this type of product, a movement that is being driven mainly by shareholders and stakeholders, who are demanding actions from companies in this regard.
In the video, Nico also highlights the main advantages of engineered wood developments, challenges in the sector and brings successful cases. Press play to check out the full content.
