The portfolio consolidator Gorila, which received a contribution of R$ 100 million last month, will invest more than half of that amount in acquiring a minority stake in the family office Vita Investimentos. The total amount is yet to be revealed, but this is the first of a series of ten operations that Gorila intends to take out this year, expanding the focus of operations and seeking synergies, as its B2B area already provides tools for dozens of investments.

“We know that it is not common for a fintech to invest in investment offices, but we want to help reshape the market to adapt to this new moment, offering capital, governance, technology, knowledge of digital channels and best practices. We already have some opportunities mapped out, but Vita is our first partner”, says Guilherme Assis, CEO of Gorila. “Our mission is to empower these offices so that they can gain scale, even in light of the changes that will come with open banking.”
