The company pioneered the segment to enter the Brazilian stock exchange. It happened back in February 2007, when there was a boom in IPOs, and Iguatemi (BOV: IGTA3) inspired even its competitors to do the same. Just a few months later, BR Malls (BRML3) was raising funds with its IPO and in July General Shopping (GSHP3) also joined the party.

With its Initial Public Offering of Shares, Iguatemi earned approximately R$550 million, which may give scope to develop its full-service work in shopping centres further. This work involves planning, developing and managing these businesses, but not just anyone. Iguatemi is known for its luxurious and sophisticated projects, aimed at the public of classes A and B.
