Iguatemi breaks historical sales record

The shopping center manager Iguatemi S.A. announced a preview of the results of the company's sales indicators for 4Q22.

In the fourth quarter of the year, the company achieved growth of 10.7% over the fourth quarter of 2021, totaling R$5.3 billion in 4Q22 alone. Compared to 2019 (pre-pandemic period), the numbers exceeded by 23.8%.

Despite the numbers, the company recognizes that the events at the end (elections and the World Cup) of the year impacted the numbers. However, the company attributes the good results to the Christmas holiday period.

In 2022, the shopping mall manager set a record of R$17 billion in total sales, with a growth of over 30% over 2021, in 13 of the 16 developments.
