Iguatemi now owns 100% of JK Iguatemi

09/12/2022 The Iguatemi shopping centre chain announced the acquisition of 36% of JK Iguatemi in a transaction worth R$ 667 million, making Iguatemi a 100% asset owner. The news was issued through a material fact published after the market closed last Friday (9).
Iguatemi also announced a follow-on (subsequent offering of shares), in which it intends to raise between R$500 and R$800 million, supporting the acquisition. The conclusion of purchasing the remaining slice of JK Iguatemi by the Iguatemi network will still require approval by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade).
According to data from SiiLA's Market Analytics platform, JK Iguatemi is classified as A and has more than 34 thousand sq metres of GLA (Gross Leasable Area). Located on Avenida Juscelino Kubitschek, in São Paulo, the shopping centre has among its tenants designer brands such as Chanel, Dolce and Gabbana, Prada, and Zara, among other brands.
The shopping centre has 203 satellite stores, eight megastores, eight movie theatres, a food court, a game room and more than 1,600 parking spaces.
