“Those who returned to São Paulo found a totally new environment, from the address to the architecture, where we aim for comfort in the company. The dynamics of the current world demands intelligent environments for a better flow of the corporate routine, so we have gathered the best practices in sustainability, comfort and well-being for employees”, explains Bruno Schmidt, Senior National Manager of Facilities & Operations at TIM Brasil.
The starting point for the change in offices was the new headquarters in São Paulo, at Torre Sigma, at Marginal Pinheiros, in an architectural and constructive standard classified as A +. The nearly 5,000 square meters space, designed for 570 work positions, began its occupation in September.
The performance of the TIM Facilities & Operations department, in collaboration with the AKMX architecture team, was essential for delivering the project in record time, only eight months from conception to execution, even amidst the difficulties imposed by the pandemic. "The São Paulo office features a modern environment that requires better utilization of space and market adaptability, both in terms of cost and innovation. The office's automation component allows for the use of only the essentials, with sensors throughout to identify the need for lighting, cooling, and external light incidence," exemplifies Marcelo Gracia, Facilities Manager of TIM São Paulo.
In the new location, the Facilities & Operations department designed the environment to achieve a 60% cost savings in total facility services. TIM now has a more efficient and sustainable infrastructure, ensuring the rational use of natural resources such as energy and the adoption of low environmental impact technologies.
New corporate space in Campinas
TIM has decided to divide its sales structure between the capital and the interior, opening a headquarters in the city of Campinas, which will serve as the reference for municipalities outside Greater São Paulo. The new office is located in downtown Campinas, spanning 1,303 square meters, and is expected to be completed by December 2020, although no inauguration date has been set. This headquarters will facilitate contact with regional resellers, also assisting in the operator's commercial penetration and network implementation operations.
"In addition to its relevance in results, the state of São Paulo has a large geographical territory, which required a sectoral division so that the service strategy reaches all regions more uniformly, allowing us to be closer to customers. Many of the inaugurations take place in municipalities where there were no TIM retail points," explains Bruno Vasconcellos, Commercial Director of São Paulo.
