02/23/2023 The construction of the Deloitte Summit building, located in Vancouver, Canada, has been completed. Designed by Tokyo-based Studio OSO, the property combines stacked boxes to create the illusion of Japanese lanterns when viewed from afar.
At night, the building puts on a light show, with the blinds lowered at 9 pm and then gradually illuminated, creating a lantern-like effect. The building has 24 floors.
"The tenant does not expect to find glass floors overlooking the city, terraces under overhanging volumes, and vertical gardens framing views of the mountains. All this is achieved by rearranging - rather than ditching - the conventional glass box", according to the Studio itself.
