Mateus Group acquires eight more stores belonging to Carrefour
- These eight stores are from a package of 14 units that Carrefour needed to sell.

10/13/2022 Recently, Grupo Mateus closed the purchase of another eight stores that belonged to the BIG retail chain.
Grupo Mateus will acquire 8 Carrefour stores. These eight stores are from a package of 14 units that Carrefour needed to sell due to a condition imposed by Cade (Administrative Council for Economic Defense).Grupo Pão de Açúcar also evaluated the units for sale; however, in the end, the Mateus group took it.
The Rio Grande do Sul supermarket chain Asun owned the other four stores in this package.
