Mortgage loans fall 9.6% compared to 2021

Financing for acquiring and constructing real estate in the country reached R$ 16.1 billion in September.

The Brazilian Association of Real Estate Credit and Savings Entities (Abecip) published on Friday (28) data regarding mortgage loans. The numbers don't include data from the financing of the Casa Verde e Amarela program, which uses resources from the Employee Severance Indemnity Fund.

Financing for acquiring and constructing real estate in the country reached R$ 16.1 billion in September.

This accumulated value was 9.6% lower than in the same period in 2021. The amount granted in the last month was the second largest in the month of the entire historical series.
