MRV seeks to cut construction time in half in the US

Projects in Brazil should also be more industrialized, says Rafael Menin, co-president of MRV&CO

Responsible for 24% of MRV&CO's sales in the first quarter of the year, AHS, an American subsidiary that builds apartments for rent, reduces its projects' construction time from 11 to up to five and a half months.

As Selma Rabelo, director of product development and innovation, explains, the industrialization of the production process, with the maximum number of steps carried out off-site, outside the construction site, should allow cutting construction time and reduce the number of employees by 40%. The model is in use and is undergoing improvements to reach less than a semester of construction.
