In the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, Paraná is experiencing a wave of deployment of distribution centres of big names in retail and industry. In São José dos Pinhais, the chocolate manufacturer Neugebauer and the chain of pharmacies Panvel, both from Rio Grande do Sul, were recently opened. Neighboring Campina Grande do Sul, on the other hand, became the headquarters of the Boticário Group's e-commerce distribution centre.

The wave also reaches the interior. In June last year, the multinational Paccar Parts inaugurated its new distribution centre in Ponta Grossa, which provides truck, trailer, bus and engine parts for the DAF dealer network throughout Brazil. BRF started operations at its unit in Londrina at the end of 2019. The chain of building materials, appliances and furniture shops Quero-Quero is expected to open a distribution centre in Corbélia (Oeste) in the coming months.
