Announced in 2018 and made official in April this year, the new shopping centre in Ponta Grossa will begin its construction this week. Mayor Marcelo Rangel (PSDB) released the information on Monday morning (21) on his radio program. With an investment of R$300 million, Shopping Plaza Campos Gerais will be located on Avenida Visconde de Taunay, between the Ronda and Contorno borough.
"I was invited to accompany the start of the works this week, and until Friday we will be there with tractors and huge stakes, this mall will be bigger than our Palladium", guarantees Rangel. The new venture is also owned by the Tacla Group, the same that manages the largest shopping centre in Ponta Grossa.
"This represents never-ending jobs ", says the municipal manager, remembering that only Palladium has between 3 and 4 thousand people involved in the operation and that the new mall should generate a similar number of vacancies.
