Office Spaces in São Paulo Lead Searches on SPOT in 2021

  • Discover the Most Sought-after Commercial Property Profiles Throughout the Year
City of São Paulo holds the largest inventory of offices in Brazil

The SiiLA SPOT platform reached its second year this December, and its launch preceded the arrival of the pandemic in Brazil, allowing us to closely observe how companies behaved during this period, making decisions related to maintaining the size of their headquarters and reducing or expanding their physical space.

Both 2020 and 2021 were challenging periods for companies, as they had to reinvent themselves to continue operating, whether fully remote, in a hybrid model, or, in the case of essential services, maintaining a significant portion of their teams in a physical workspace.

To take stock of the year, we have compiled the most sought-after commercial property profiles on SiiLA SPOT, the largest platform for office, warehouse, and coworking space listings.

Reflecting the current state of the commercial real estate market, the most searched property profile on SiiLA SPOT during 2021 was offices, with corporate floors being the most sought-after in cities like São Paulo, followed by Rio de Janeiro and Barueri.

In second place are warehouses, further demonstrating the growth in the logistics condominium sector, driven by the rise of e-commerce. The cities where spaces like these were most sought after by SiiLA SPOT users were São Paulo, followed by Caçapava in the Vale do Paraíba region of São Paulo, and finally, Rio Claro in São Paulo and Feira de Santana in Bahia, tying for third place.

Closing the rankings, the third most sought-after property profile throughout 2021 was coworking spaces in the capital city of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Vitória in Espírito Santo.
