Pedro Janot became known for transforming major companies into successful business models. The executive was responsible for bringing Zara to Brazil and was chosen as the first CEO of Azul Brazilian Airlines.

In an interview on the NXT Podcast, hosted by Giancarlo Nicastro, the executive reveals the biggest challenges he faced in leadership and corporate culture, as well as the process of rebuilding his routine after a serious horseback riding accident severely impaired his mobility.

Since the accident, tasks that were once simple have required planning, adaptation, and respect for the limits of his body.

For Janot, leadership means understanding what people are going through and using truth as a tool for development — with firmness, but without disregarding the impact the message may have on the person receiving it. A leader’s responsibility, according to him, goes beyond professional results and also extends to employees’ personal lives, their families, and their relationship with society.
