Pernambucanas speeds up the process of store openings in the NE

The retail chain was out of its home area for nearly three decades.

Retailer Pernambucanas will accelerate its expansion in the Northeast next year. The region in which the company has not operated in the last three decades should receive most of the 56 stores that the company intends to open, with an investment of around R$ 250 million.

Despite maintaining the investment plans, Sérgio Borriello, president of the company, says he believes that 2022 will be very volatile in sales. "The health issue is improving with vaccination, but we have elections and an obscure economic scenario. We are optimistic, but with our feet on the ground," said the executive.
