Warehouse developer Prologis has announced that it has received LEED Platinum certification (the highest level of LEED certification) in three more buildings at Basil; they are:

•Galpão 100 and Galpão 200 at Prologis Castelo 41. Located in Santana de Parnaíba (SP), Prologis Castelo 41 has a total area of 75,035 sq metres and is ranked as class A, according to the strict criteria of SiiLA.

•Galpão 600 do Prologis Dutra RJ I. Located in São João de Meriti (RJ), this property has a total area of 210,044 sq metres and is also ranked as class A.

With these three new achievements, Prologis now has 11 LEED Platinum certifications. For the company, distribution centres and logistics warehouses have a permanent impact on the environment. In this way, for each construction or renovation, Prologis seeks to integrate design and sustainable construction practices in line with the company's global standards and focus on LEED certification.

The newly certified warehouses considered the following sustainability guidelines in their projects: location, energy and water efficiency, and spaces designed for employees and well-being inside the warehouse.

Do you know what LEED certification is?

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a certification for sustainable buildings designed by the non-governmental organization United States Green Building Council. This certification's objective is to increasingly promote and increasingly encourage sustainable practices in the construction sector.
