A joint venture between Canadian Ivanhoé Cambridge and American Hines will invest R$ 750 million in residential for rent, the so-called multifamily, in São Paulo. The buildings will be managed by Willowick Residential, a property management company owned by Hines, which already operates in the segment in the US.

The partnership will mainly work with one to three-bedroom units, medium and medium-high standards, in the west and south of São Paulo. According to Antonio Ferreira, director of Hines in Brazil, the objective is to be present in areas with a concentration of employment and a dynamic economy and to have buildings with at least 120 apartments, to create a “community” of residents with long-term leases.
