According to the National Confederation of Trade in Goods, Services, and Tourism (CNC), roadblocks across the country can affect the logistics transport sector.

In 2018, with the truck drivers' strike, it recorded a 5.8% retraction in sales volume, with a daily loss was R$1.8 billion. For retail, the total cost of the strike was R$18 billion over the ten days at the time.

André Prado, vice president of operators and logistics services at Abralog (Brazilian Logistics Association), says that these new roadblocks could affect the end of the year in the country.

"We are in the midst of three major events, Black Friday and the World Cup, in November and Christmas. If there is a collapse in supply and stocks are low, the lack of goods can happen quickly and affect these three events," said Prado. The executive is also the president of BBM Logística.

Fleets reduction

Many companies see harm reduction as using reduced fleets for transport, such as BBM Logística.

To the newspaper Valor Econômico, the cargo carrier stated that the critical scenario made the company decide to run with a reduced fleet, using only half of the vehicles, 4 thousand.

According to the company's survey, the most affected state was Santa Catarina, with 68 blocks.
