Siemens and MARAEY closed a deal for Smart Destination in Rio
- The construction will be on Costa do Sol, in Maricá, Rio de Janeiro.

10/10/2022 The German company Siemens and the MARAEY project closed a deal to construct a technological tourist complex, which can also be called Smart Destination and which should become the first in Brazil.
Plans for the project, which is expected to function as a tech district, include four five-star hotels, a shopping centre, more than 8,000 residences, a university, a school and a hospital.
The construction will be on Costa do Sol, in Maricá, Rio de Janeiro. The entire automation and digitalization system of the complex will be from Siemens, taking into account sustainability concepts for energy efficiency, in addition to the most current and innovative management and operation practices of sanitation and water and sewage networks.
