SiiLA ACADEMY wrapped up another cycle of classes on June 13 and 16 with in-person site visits to two properties. Students from both the industrial and office modules participated in the events, held at DVR Business Park Embu — hosted by Retha — and Faria Lima Square, hosted by SYN.
The visits brought together more than 60 participants from various regions of Brazil — including Bahia, Espírito Santo, and São Paulo — marking the end of the program with a practical immersion in the real estate market.
On Friday, June 13, students from the logistics module were welcomed by Giancarlo Nicastro, CEO of SiiLA, and Marino Mario, CEO and founder of Retha.
The visit to DVR Business Park Embu, a property managed by Retha, included a presentation on the development of the project, followed by a tour of technical areas, maintenance facilities, and a space that is already leased but where the tenant has yet to move in.
“The key advantage of having this class in person is the opportunity for extensive networking and gaining knowledge that’s not as easily accessible in the Northeast of Brazil. This adds a lot to our resumes — not just professionally but also personally,” said Victor Braga, a student in the industrial module.
On Monday, June 16, it was the office module students’ turn to visit Faria Lima Square in São Paulo’s capital city. The day began with a presentation in the building’s auditorium, led by Giancarlo Nicastro and Ricardo Loducca, Commercial and Marketing Director at SYN.
Participants got an in-depth look at the corporate building, visiting common areas, the mechanical room, loading docks, the helipad, and a vacant floor currently available for lease.
“It was great to take part in the SiiLA ACADEMY event today. We saw a bit of everything we learned in the course over the past few months. We had the theory, and now we’re seeing it in practice. I think it’s important to stay updated, gather market information, and understand current trends,” said Leonardo Augusto, Head of Business at Workplace Arquitetura Corporativa.
SiiLA ACADEMY is SiiLA’s professional development program designed to build technical and strategic skills for professionals working in the commercial real estate market. Created in 2020 during the pandemic, the project was born with the goal of democratizing access to specialized knowledge in the office and industrial property sectors, offering a unique combination of theory, practice, and real-world market experience. Since its launch, more than 400 students have completed the program through in-person, hybrid, and online formats.
Classes are taught by leading executives in the sector, who share their expertise and insights through an up-to-date curriculum aligned with the realities of the Brazilian market. The first semester of the 2025 edition featured guest speakers such as Bruno Ackermann (Cy Capital), Thiago Cordeiro (GoodStorage), Carolina Borges (EQI Investimentos), Ricardo Figueiredo (Finclass), Leandro Rovai (PepsiCo), Fernando Crestana (BTG Pactual), Cláudio Hermolin (SINDUSCON-RJ), Rossano Nonino (Fator Ore Real Estate), Fernando Carvalhal (Helbor), and Thais Trentin (Workplace).
The program is held annually and continues to evolve. For the second half of the year, the launch of SiiLA ACADEMY Advanced is scheduled. This new module will cater to executives and experienced professionals seeking deeper knowledge through more technical and comprehensive content, presented via real-world market success stories.
“SiiLA ACADEMY reflects our commitment to preparing leaders for the challenges of the commercial real estate market. We believe that sharing knowledge with depth, relevance, and real-world application is key to the sector’s sustainable development in Brazil.” — Giancarlo Nicastro, CEO of SiiLA
