Yesterday afternoon(19), SiiLA joined a discussion with several selected guests at the 34th ABIMAD fair.

With almost 20 years of history, ABIMAD is the leading trade fair for high-end furniture and accessories in Latin America and the only one in the sector focused on business. Aimed at retailers and buyers from Brazil and abroad, the fair has two annual editions highlighting Brazilian design and the main international trends, presented through a structure with more than 120 exhibitors, distributed in an area of 50 thousand sq metres.

Giancarlo Nicastro (CEO of SiiLA), Luciano Brunherotto (Founding Partner of ARO), Caio Serrachioli (Owner of Proh Arquitetura) and Alexandre Garret (CEO of the Portal Garret) joined the discussion mediated by Gustavo Sigolo (Office ConnectionCEO) and Karin Guth (Speaker).

The theme of the discussion was "Workplace and the transformation in enterprise and commercial architecture". During the panel, much was addressed regarding the importance of the environment in productivity, especially in thepost-pandemic readaptation period. According to Luciano Brunherotto, many startups don't have offices; the culture of engagement and productivity comes through interactions between employees and relationships with people.

Giancarlo Nicastro states, "Companies need to readapt, bring the comfort of homes into the offices. Many organisations have also considered employees', children and their pets bringing employees closer to the office,".

The behaviour of generations and the challenges for the corporate and commercial world in the current scenario, especially with technology evolving faster and faster, was another point that came up in the conversation.

"We are tryingto find an ideal path. The reality we live in changes very quickly. It's the future; we have to accept it! At SiiLA, we arrived to bring evolution to the market. We started with data transparency and brought to society and industry that we can think differently. This is our impact, to provoke the whole industry to work differently, in a more transparent and technological way", said Giancarlo Nicastro.

Last but least, the issue of sustainability within companies was put on the agenda. How do weintegrate people and sustainability at work?

"I believethis issue of nature and offices will be much more natural thanks to ESG. Atrend that has come to accelerate this integration in companies", stated the CEO of SiiLA.
