WeWork, a company with shared offices, will have the brand operated in Latin America by the SoftBank Latin America Fund led by Claudia Woods, who has led Uber in Brazil for the past two years. WeWork's current CEO in the region, Claudio Hidalgo, will move to the chief operating officer (COO) position.

The partnership between WeWork and the SoftBank fund will be implemented through a joint venture and follows the company's script in other markets, such as China, India, Japan, and Israel. The union between the partners occurs when WeWork is trying to recover the losses recorded during the Covid-19 pandemic, which increased the vacancy of corporate spaces worldwide with the migration of companies to the remote work regime.
