João Paulo Carvalho, Senior Manager of Real Estate and Workplace at Uber and Roberta Zombon, Human Resources Specialist at the company, joined the debate, showing how the multinational has been dealing with the scenario designed in the post-pandemic.
Roberta commented on the challenge of continuing to spread the company's culture during the pandemic, with administrative teams working from home. "We had to reinvent ourselves as a company. We reformulated our mission and values globally, created a communication channel with leaders and programs focused on the well-being and mental health", she said.
João Carvalho delivered some important pillars for Uber when it comes to ESG. According to him, generating impact and income through job opportunities is among the company's priorities, as is investing in traffic safety. Another important aspect is that Uber is in certified buildings.
Hybrid work
Uber has adopted the hybrid model where employees can spend 50% of their working hours from home and the other half at the office. Employees have the flexibility to choose the days they go to the office.
According to Carvalho, the company's theme is displayed on office layouts that encourage collaboration between teams, with biophilia, natural light, standing desks (tables that allow employees to work standing or sitting) and interactive audio and video systems.
In addition to the attractive office layout reminiscent of the family environment, Roberta spoke about the importance of benefits to retaining employees: "Faced with hybrid work, the need to seek differentials and benefits to attract and retain talent has grown. We seek to offer benefits that go beyond what is already mandatory by law".
According to SiiLA's Market Analytics platform data, Uber has more than 3,000 sq metres of corporate slabs leased in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
