Via announces same-day delivery and online purchase return at the store

"The same-day delivery is a process that has been increasing with the evolution of our mini-hubs operation [using the stores as a distribution center] and gained national scale with the acquisition of Asap Log [logistics company]," said Fernando Gasparini, executive director of logistics at Via, at 6 Minutos.
The company already delivers 15% of online sales on the same day. The operation is available in 65 stores in 14 states. Deliveries within 24 hours represent 40%.
According to the publication, by reducing the delivery time, Via reduces distribution and order cancellation costs. "Orders that leave the mini-hub cost 25% of the value of the one that leaves the distribution center, which greatly reduces the freight cost," said the executive.
