The initiative is being implemented gradually and, at first, only in the South and Center of São Paulo.

Thinking about initiatives to avoid carbon gas emission (CO2), Via, owner of Casa Bahia, Ponto, and Extra.com.br, adopted a new strategy in the sustainable logistics sector. The company increased its strategy by adding electric tuk-tuks to its fleet of vehicles to deliver light goods.
Still, in the pilot stage, the project is being implemented only in the south and downtown areas of São Paulo. “Via frequently rethinks the use of conventional combustion-powered vehicles and is undergoing a process of transition from the use of fossil fuel to clean energy in urban deliveries”, highlighted Daniel Ribeiro da Silva, director of Logistics at Via.
