In an interview with Valor Econômico, WeWork's CEO for Latin America, Claudia Woods, stated that the company does not plan to expand in the country by leasing new corporate areas. According to the executive, WeWork has started to bet on its growth through the marketplace, where it will manage shared offices with partners.

The pilot project, entitled Station by WeWork, will start in October, with investments of R$44 million. According to the report, the next countries to receive the Station will be Mexico and Colombia.

The proposal to expand in the Brazilian market with the marketplace seeks to expand the brand's presence without the large expenses that involve leasing corporate properties, such as renovations, and fixed costs, such as condominiums and rent.
