Meta maintains its cost-reduction policy

12/06/2022 The owner of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp has made a series of moves to reduce costs, including a mass layoff involving around 11,000 employees.
The changes don't stop there. The company will hand over part of its offices in Manhattan, New York City (USA). The company will also return more than 2,000 sq meters that it occupies in the towers of the Hudson Yards complex in New York City. According to Bloomberg, the company declined to renew the contract, which is expected to end in 2024.
This type of movement also happened here in Brazil. In November, the company informed that it would leave the Infinity Tower building, concentrating all its operations in São Paulo in a single corporate building, at Birmann32, located at Av. Lima.
According to SiiLA monitoring, in the third quarter, the company had already pre-leased its space at Birmann 32 in 2020.
