In the first quarter of the year alone, the number of warehouses grew by 215 thousand meters, adding to the existing 18 million. The data were collected by the SiiLA platform.

Three-quarters are characterized as a high standard, providing services to companies like Amazon and Mercado Livre.By the end of 2021, the platform still predicts an increase of 3 million square metres, explaining the optimistic forecasts for e-commerce this year: it expects a 32% growth, according to XP Investments.

The pandemic brought a significant increase in online shopping, and the investor who knew how to take advantage of the opportunity benefited from a 73.9% growth scenario only last year.
