Osasco becomes the favourite of technology companies
- Mercado Livre, Dafiti and iFood are some of the companies that moved their headquarters to Osasco in the last five years.

23 km from São Paulo, Osasco wants to add a new facet to its investments. Known for hosting Cidade de Deus, Banco Bradesco's headquarters, popular high street and hot dogs, it now wants to become a kind of São Paulo's "Silicon Valley" to the technology hub in California (USA).
Mercado Livre, Dafiti and iFood are some of the companies that moved their headquarters to Osasco in the last five years. One of the reasons for the change is the low ISS (municipal tax) rate from 3% to 2% in 2018, says Mayor Rogério Lins (Pode). The companies have declined to comment on the move.
