São Carlos Empreendimentos e Participações - through its convenience center subsidiary Best Center - led a round of contributions to Clique Retire, a company of lockers for the so-called last mile of the process of delivering products to customers. Controlled by the founding family of Direcional Engenharia, Clique Retire received R$32 million in capitalization. The Valadares Gontijo family, which controls Direcional, also increased its share in the startup raised from 57.8% to 63%.

The funds raised will make it possible to triple the factory's production capacity and expand the number of cities from 38 to 60 this year. "We are going to increase the number of lockers, from the current 250 to 1,200 by mid-2021", says the president of Clique Retire, Gustavo Artuzo. In addition, there is an intention to multiply production by ten in five years.
