Mr. Cardoso joined CBRE in 1985, assuming the role of President of CBRE Brazil in 1994. Over the past 30 years, Mr. Cardoso has had a profound impact on the commercial real estate industry across Brazil completing over R$30 billion in asset sales, generating over R$47 billion in leasing revenue for its clients, and managing 4.2 billion square meters of commercial real estate assets in Brazil.  The company expanded tremendously during his tenure.

There is no doubt the success CBRE Brazil has been able to achieve over the past three decades has been a team effort, as described in Mr. Cardoso’s parting statement, "Acting as President of CBRE for over 30 years was the highlight of my career. I feel deeply honored and conclude this cycle with a sense of accomplishment. I am truly happy with the work we have done together and am immensely grateful to all our partners, clients, for their trust and credibility in our work, but mainly to the entire team, for their dedication and effort that contributed to achieving incredible results over the years.”

Mr. Sartori, who himself has a 30-year history with CBRE, will navigate the company through a challenging and dynamic market landscape that includes a significant imbalance of supply and demand in the office and logistics sectors, muted foreign investment in Brazil, growth in agribusiness, and increased use of technology in marketing.  Expressing confidence in his long-time colleague and friend Mr. Sartori, Mr. Cardoso said, “With a brilliant career of over 30 years of service and involvement in all areas of the company, we are confident that we will continue our growth in this country under his leadership.”

Mr. Sartori now oversees CBRE’s team of 1,700 employees across 17 business units and seven major hubs throughout Brazil.
